Using ABECELEE: Self-Paced Tutorial
Section 1: Getting Started

Gaby lee Lesson 3 : Setting Your Computer to Run ABECELEE

While ABECELEE is easy to use if you have basic computer skills, there are some steps you need to take to ensure your computer will be compatible with the ABEELEE Software. These are called "System Requirements" on the ABECELEE main page, and they involve checking some of your web browser's settings, and adjusting them if they are not set properly. To Set your computer to run ABECELEE follow these procedures:

There are 6 things you need to do to prepare your computer to run ABECELEE:

1. Checking Computer and Internet Requirements
2. Using a Supported Web Browser
3. Setting Browser Cache
4. Enabling JavaScript
5. Enabling Browser Cookies
6. Disabling Pop-Up Blockers

These procedures may sound terribly technical or difficult, especially if you are not an experienced computer user. However, they are really very simple, and none of them will harm your computer or interfere with the way your other programs run.

Step-by-step directions for all of these simple (really) procedures, along with screenshots showing you exactly how each process will look, are given in the next six lessons of this tutorial. You will need to address all sx of these issues to use ABECELEE successfully.
